Whale watchers acquired a particular deal with this month off the coast of Argentina after they noticed a uncommon white southern proper whale. Agustín Baraschi captured spectacular footage of the hanging white whale and shared the video to his Instagram web page.
In accordance with NOAA, southern proper whales stay all through the Southern Hemisphere, and so they migrate between high-latitude feeding areas and low-latitude breeding grounds. These baleen whales sometimes have “a stocky, black physique” with white patches on the chin and stomach.

NOAA says the whaling trade took a toll on southern proper whales, and although some populations have recovered, others haven’t.
“Present threats to southern proper whales embrace entanglement in fishing gear, vessel strikes, industrialization of coastal and marine habitats that can lead to habitat degradation, ocean noise, and adjustments in water situations and dynamics resulting from local weather change,” NOAA says.
