In December 2023, wildlife officers reintroduced wolves to the state of Colorado per the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Fee (CPW)’s voter-approved Colorado Wolf Restoration and Administration Plan. New footage proves there have now been not less than three wolf cubs born in Colorado for the reason that species’ reintroduction.
CPW shared a video of the three cubs taking part in round a puddle on a mud path on X. Within the caption, CPW wrote: “Seen right here: three wholesome wolf pups (round 40-50 lbs) and one grownup from the Copper Creek pack. We acquired this video and our wolf biologists have reviewed and confirmed the validity of the video.”
The one who took the video, Mike Usalavage, is a Coloradoan who, like many within the state, have blended emotions in regards to the reintroduction program.
“Although I’m conflicted on the larger image and whose voices matter most and the way it will have an effect on so many within the state, together with me, it was fairly dang thrilling to truly see these wolf pups,” Usalavage stated on Instagram. “[They] appear so massive for 4mos outdated.
