Final month, El Dorado County, California made headlines after a mountain lion killed a younger man and injured one other close to Georgetown. The 2 brothers have been searching for shed antlers in a distant space when the mountain lion attacked them. One brother survived however was gravely injured and can want reconstructive surgical procedure. (Help the household right here.)
Officers caught and euthanized the mountain lion concerned within the assault.
Now, simply weeks later, a safety digital camera caught one other mountain lion strolling via a residential space in El Dorado County. The sighting has residents reliving their trauma another time.
The neighbor who reported the sighting, Tanya Harlow, lives in Placerville, which is south of Georgetown. She describes her neighborhood as “actually closely populated” and never a rural space. And but, a mountain lion simply walked via her garden.
Harlow has sons herself. She instructed CBS13 her household felt devastated and shaken by the information of final month’s assault; it may have been her boys.
CBS13 requested the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) whether or not there was an uptick in mountain lions within the space. Peter Tira with CDFW stated no, there are simply extra cameras round these days to catch them.
Tira instructed CBS13: “Wherever you see deer, you’ll be able to wager there’s mountain lions round.”
